Meet Our Team
Founded initially as a Hindi-Film dance team in 2015, Rhydhun has evolved to become Duke University's premier Bollywood fusion dance team. Rhydhun is a co-ed team that performs both on Duke University's campus as well as at competitions, showcases, and private events nationwide. Rhydhun competes at the national level on the Desi Dance Network (DDN) circuit.
Auditions are always held in the fall near the beginning of the school year.
The fall season is focused on learning choreography and filming audition videos to qualify for competitions held in the spring.
During the spring season, the team travels to various cities across the U.S. to compete against other university teams at these comps. The goal is to earn an eventual spot at the national championships (DDN Legends).
Rhydhun prides itself on being a close-knit team. We have many social events throughout the year. Rhydhun mirrors the beloved "work hard, play hard" aspect of Duke!
Most of our pieces are choreographed by our own team members. We perform the following dance styles:

- Bharatnatyam
- Kathak
- Hip Hop
- Contemporary
- and more!
We do not demand a certain level of experience or dance background for potential new members. If you possess passion and commitment we would love for you to join our family. Keep an eye out for auditions!
